Review of Design standard for energy efficiency of residential buildings in Tibet Autonomous Region

Presents the compiling background, main content, energy saving target of residential buildings and energy saving design method of the design standard. Based on the rich solar energy resource and field investigation of social and natural environment and residential building conditions, proposes that passive solar heating assisted by active solar heating and other heating mode be more applicable in this area. Two methods of prescription index and performancebased index are presented in the standard for energy saving building design, and the load collector ratio (LCR) is introduced as the main factor to evaluate energy saving performance of building.
